I am not new to remote learning. Before I came to Canada, I studied IELTS in an educational institution, and the biggest feature of this educational institution is all online teaching. According to my experience, remote learning has no limitation of the hardware conditions of learners, but if you want to ensure continuous high-quality teaching, the organization that provides the teaching must have a dedicated person responsible for remote live broadcast technical issues, and the teachers need use Unified high-quality equipment and fixed teaching locations. Because the quality of network and the background in the video during remote teaching both affect students’ motivation of learning, I think that bringing the teachers together can minimize the problems of network quality and the quality of teaching caused by the different locations of classes.
But I don’t know much about VR teaching. I think the problems of VR teaching are caused by these few. One is high equipment expenditure, the other is not enough practical support, and the third is that some children will experience nausea and fatigue when using VR, so the safety of VR teaching cannot be guaranteed to be the same as traditional multimedia teaching.
According to expert predictions, the pandemic will last 1 to 2 years, so I think the wave of remote education will not stop. The pandemic has forced everyone to live and work remotely, and if we assume that the end of the pandemic is one year later, I guess that in terms of education, the trend of remote education will not end there. For international students, they will be still more willing to choose face-to-face courses, but for local students in various countries, they may prefer online courses.

However, the form of education are largely stipulated by the government and schools. If the government and schools only recognize the qualifications for face-to-face teaching, the children will undoubtedly continue to conduct face-to-face education. Meanwhile, business has been investing heavily in remote education and other high-tech educational tools. I think the revolution is likely to start from extracurricular education, such as hobby classes, and be pushed back to regular schools.
