Introduction

It is undeniable that the use of technology in the educational field has gradually immersed the teacher and student learning process. A bunch of researches has also demonstrated the obvious benefit that blended technology brings.

However, I have experience in the past that using technology might distract students, especially at such a young age. When I was in high school, my teacher tried to employ augmented reality into my class. Most of the students were not focus on the content that the teacher present, instead of playing games that irrelevant and missing the point. This is the pressing issue right now. I think the instructor lacked attention on what is the student’s interest is. The vivid video, interaction games are more likely to attracts most of the students.

The implementation of blended teaching methods and Universal Designed for Learning can play a significant role in the effective use of technology in class. First, to find out the student’s interest through informal conversations. Second, the teacher should induce students to build a connection between new knowledge and the previous one. Then, most importantly, combine that new knowledge with the use of technology to facilitate students to have further practise and deepen their memories rather than rote memorization. Also, the collaboration of groups can help students exchange and improve their knowledge conceptualization as well as to increase social interaction.

To sum up, technology update always, the teaching approach has not changed for hundreds of years. Instructors should innovate the way they teach by continually evolving technology and choosing the appropriate one in a particular scenario.
