The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the closure of the vast majority of schools worldwide. All learning institutions moved to online learning via zoom, google classroom, and different learning app. What I have the experience, distance education can also provide a border method of communication within the realm of education. E-learning is making us lazy as we don’t have to run to catch the bus to reach on time. I feel caged as I can’t let my son out anywhere in the park during these 2 months. Schools are reopening and my son dnt want to go to the park and take swings as he told me it is not safe. He got in his mind that he should not touch anything as he listens to all the conversations we have about the COVID-19. I feel children’s mental health got affected by this.
No doubt, technology has made us able to complete our course and work on time. we exploring the different forms of technology. I miss my tru classes face to face. Distance education has some drawbacks as well as some students not access to technology fully. Sometimes no audio, no video happened with me, and its the flow of technology and has no backup.
Sitting on the laptop for 8 hours to complete the assignments and attend the classes, it affects the eye too, backpain. Isolation is something experienced much here while this pandemic time as I am not a kind of home person. I always ready to visit new places and meet new people and love to explore new culture.
Hi Payal,
I agree that sitting on the laptop for 8 hours to complete the assignments , attend classes, and for work has created more problems for me. Back/neck pain, tired eyes and the lack of movement. I also have home schooling to help with that is on the computer. With kids being home I am not a fan about how much time they spend on the computer. We try to cut back the usage but for some kids it is not only their schooling but also the only way for them to socialize with their friends. You don’t want to take that away but we don’t want them on the computer at all times. Covid has brought some positives in the way we see life and the way we see education but it has also brought stress and uncertainty.
