In your professional context (real or possible in future), have you used any of these (and if so, how was it)?

Although I personally do not have any experience with any of these technological innovations but as the technology is emerging in the education at fast pace ad these innovation would become an imperative part of the education to make teaching learning environment interesting and innovative. Now, in the pandemic time, almost everyone have access of online learning which I can connect to the remote learning in some extent and can thought of working of remote learning almost in the same sense. I have heard about virtual reality, AR, artificial intelligence, digital assistant before and had some knowledge about this but after exploring about these, now I am clear about the concepts and understand how I can indulge these technology tools in education for effective learning. Nothing is known about immersive world but it seems very interesting after exploring Second Life and virbela. Which seems quite interesting and useful for creating a new environment and listen to other person by approaching while in character.

– Consider one or two tools (VR, AR, immersive worlds, personal assistants, etc.) do you think you might use and in what way do you think they might support learning and how might the use of them align with any of the theories we have explored (behaviourism, cognitivism, constructivism & connectivism)?

I would like to use virtual reality in the classroom which could manage the classroom tours or experiments efficiently within the classroom. Let us take an example, If I am going to explore information on environment which need the actual exploration of outside environment or some special kind of flower then with the help of  virtual reality tool it can be possible within the classroom and any endanger that could be encounter outside during the visit could be eliminated by doing so. VR is one of the many components of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) that support interactive and collaborative activities, it can transform the ways in which we learn and engage with one another. It allows for action, movement, and sometimes speech on the part of users. VR provides a controlled environment in which learners can navigate, manipulate, and observe the effects of virtual objects found within. As such it is very well suited for providing exploratory learning environments for learning through experimentation. Constructivism as the underlying learning theory that fits well with the characteristics of VR technology.

– In your context (real or possible in future), what might be some of the challenges in using such tools and what are some of the solutions you can think of?

First of all, implementing anything new needs time and patience so if I am going to inculcate VR in my educational practices then I need to get full understanding of it and understand the different aspect of working. Lack of familiarity become a challenge to include VR in the education. Also, it would be a little easy for technology background teacher rather than non-technological teacher. In addition, cost involved in implementing VR would be higher. To remove the barriers, we need to work collectively to find appropriate information to find solutions.
